The electronic devices I.RED-V and I.RED-VM detect the diference of temperature caused by the presence of a moving person or body. When the I.R. device detects the presence it activates the relay output and it turns on the load for a time adjustable from 5 seconds to 8 minutes. If the person in the aerea does not move the timing of the device works normaly, while the continue moving in the area of detection reset the timer, so the regulation of the timer have to be longer or shorter, it depends on the kind of area (offices, toilettes etc...). The intersection in the areas of many I.R. detectors does not cause interference.
The device I.RED-V (5 ÷ 6m range, opening area of 90°) is suitable for all the appications that need a large detection area, such as local warehouse, toilets, garages, oautomatic opening doors, alarms systems, while the device I.RED-VM (range 5 ÷ 6m, opening conical area 11°) is suitable for all the appications that need a narrow detection area, such as timed lighting corridors, automatic water taps etc..
When the device is installed for first time it takes about 30 sec to be ready for the use.
Both versions are also available with different supply voltages: 110Vac; 24Vac-dc; 12Vac-dc.
